EMK Learning Solutions delivered a New Manager 2-Day Intensive: Essential Leadership Skills for Water & Wastewater Professionals for utility leaders serving in roles such as superintendents, chief operators, foremen, senior operators, new managers, and aspiring leaders.
Many professionals in technical and operational environments are promoted into leadership roles because of their technical expertise. However, leading people requires a different skill set. The Need
Water and wastewater utility leaders manage complex responsibilities every day. They lead crews, respond to operational challenges, communicate across departments, manage field emergencies, support employees, and keep up with reporting and administrative demands.

Helping Employees Build Confidence in a New HCM System
EMK Learning Solutions partnered with ASRC, a federal client, during the implementation of a new Human Capital Management system. The organization needed consulting support to identify learning and performance gaps, recommend practical solutions, and design training resources that would help both new and existing employees successfully use the new system.
System implementations often create significant change for employees. Even when the technology is strong, employees need the right training, tools, and support to understand new processes, complete tasks accurately, and feel confident using the system in their day-to-day work.
The Need
ASRC was implementing a new HCM system and needed to ensure employees were prepared to use it effectively. The project required a clear understanding of current gaps, the needs of different user groups, workflow changes, and the types of learning solutions that would best support adoption.
EMK Learning Solutions worked closely with the main teams involved, including HR and other key stakeholders, to better understand the system, employee needs, performance expectations, and areas where additional training support was needed.
